I have a hard time buying into the all we do is talk instead of fight narrative when our country has essentially been in a state of perpetual war since WWII:
WWII: 1941-1945
Korea: 1950-1953
Vietnam: 1955-1975
Gulf War:1990-1991
Afghanistan: 2001-2021
Iraq: 2003-2011
Ukraine/Russia: 2022-
Israel/Hamas/Hezbollah/Iran: 2023-
Not to mention the myriad of smaller military engagements throughout the world like Bosnia, Panama, Somalia, Lebanon, Grenada, Syria, Lybia…
It’s not talk that resulted in our streets being full of PTSD burdened and addicted veterans. It’s not talk that led to us spending about
$325 billion a year on the VA.
The idea that women are somehow a brake on said violence is equally laughable when they tend to vote for and support said military interventions in higher numbers than men.
The problem isn’t that the U.S. is engaging in too much talk and not enough violence, it’s that said violence is focused on purported foreign enemies while the domestic enemies are ignored.
Matthew specifically mentions many wars are “utterly moronic” while also saying war for maintenance of a civilization has been the historical default. The War Machine and its fake wars are not something the Editors of Gallows Humor defend.
Read again. The time context given is the rise of clown world, which is very generally the 21st century. And the action referred to is that which would maintain our civilization...not enlisted men being sent off to fight, but regular men, as a default state, organizing and not taking shit. That doesn't exist anymore, which is why we have things like 2020, drag queen story hour, etc. Fighting still goes on, but only when approved. Beyond that, there is no pragmatic male problem solving, there is a never ending, feminine in nature, conversation about our problems.
Military adventurism, managed by a clown government, is not the same as the culture among common people. The latter is the topic here. A feminized culture among common people, in fact, enables the military adventurism. The government does what it wants, our votes and preferences are ignored, and we demonstrate that we won't do more than make offended noises...so the government continues to do what it wants.
The guy is a low-rent pimp with a litter of illegitimate children by trash women, most of whom will inevitably grow up to be parasites and criminals. Pointing out that the sky is blue is not a profound insight, even if a significant portion of society refuse to notice it.
Plenty of other people point out the exact same problems while not being walking avatars of the lowest kind of social degeneracy. Plenty of others talking about the problem have a bunch of kids and actually raise them right, so they won't become a further burden on the crumbling wreckage of our culture.

Not familiar with Tate but like Peterson he seems to be a bogeyman of the left. Between overwhelming debt and the demographic spiral we are in REAL trouble. Bad times coming. Fast.

Kind of feels like the start of a 4X game. You have all these advisors with vastly different objectives and recommended methods, all ostensibly trying to get your civilization going in the right direction. They talk and talk, while the NPCs all do. Tate in this case is the closest to a war advisor. Kermit de frog is going for the peace victory, seemingly unaware the other sides are religious zealots trying to wololo everyone.
I'd quickly join in on EXIT stuff if it had an outer ring that wasn't paywalled. Might start basketweaving in a few years once my toddler can occupy himself. Something, anything, rather than just talk. Frustrations compounding as I see society collapsing year on year.
There is a lot to agree with, with regard to the ideas that Tate espouses. However, he is simply softening up a shit ton of yooof for the coming regime flip from where now, to the coming Gilead (see Handmaid's Tale or Iran circa 1979). I can't say for sure that he is doing this knowingly or if he has just the riden the wave he has been allowed to ride. But then, given his father's CIA connections.....
